About the project
A small, privacy-first telemedicine platform
doktorly.online was built around one idea: a video consultation should connect two people directly, without routing private medical conversations through anyone else's servers.
How the project is structured
doktorly.online is a lightweight web application. The server handles only accounts, scheduling, one-time join links and the signalling handshake that introduces the two peers. Once connected, audio and video flow peer-to-peer between the two browsers and never pass through the server.
Privacy by design
Data minimisation is not an add-on here — it is the architecture. We store only what a session needs, keep join links as irreversible hashes that expire on their own, and never record media. Audit logs record attendance, never clinical content.
Built for GDPR and HIPAA-conscious care
We follow the GDPR principles of lawfulness, minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and accountability, and design controls that meet the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rule expectations for telehealth, including encryption in transit and access control.
Who runs it
doktorly.online is operated by Karim Youssef. It is independent, privacy-oriented and deliberately minimal — a tool for clinicians, not an advertising platform.
